Sermon:            The Blessed Life                Psalm 1

I.   What it Means to be Blessed

Jesus thou joy of loving hearts, thou fount of life, thou light of men.

From the best bliss that earth imparts, we turn unfilled to thee again.

II.   How We Become Blessed

John 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me,

Psalm 37:4  Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

III.  What Results from Being Blessed

Gal. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
