A Time to Embrace

Sermon:           A Time to Embrace              Matthew 11:7-19

I. The Greatest Prophet  (7-11a)

Malachi 3:1   “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts.

II. The Greatness of the Kingdom  (11b-15)

Malachi 4:5  “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes.

III.  A Not-So-Great Response  (16-19)

1 Peter 2:2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
