A Faith That Works

Sermon:                                 A Faith That Works              James 2:14-26

Introduction:

2 Corinthians 13:5  Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.

I. Faith That Does Not Work  (14-19)

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith.

Philippians 1:6 he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

II. Faith that Worked  (20-26)

Rom. 3:24 [we] are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus ... 28 For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
